What I read in February and quick synopsis of each.
James Baldwin is absolutely brilliant. This book has been placed on my handful of books I must frequently reread.
Stacey Abrams is brilliant, empowering, and powerful. Her memoir on her success offers multiple tools on how she grows both personally and professionally.
I can’t lie, invisible no more was a really hard read. The violence against women and trans women of color is nauseating. Multiple times I had to walk away from the book because the reality of so many literally made my stomach turn. However, it is also a reality we can only change when we sit with what is difficult yet simultaneously true and decide as a collective to no longer allow this to be the reality of so many.
